Program Bank
These are the overall chapter events that we have had this year. We have had more events, but many of our events do not fit this formula like Project Isaiah (a food drive over the High Holidays) and a coat check at our Rabbi's birthday dinner.
Sukkot Overnight
9 Members (Conflicted with a few Homecomings)
Fairly Good
We had a Sukkah overnight at Elana Pentelnik's house with a few small program on Sukkot. Most of the time, we chilled and then we slept under the sukkah.
Freshman Kidnap
14 Members (Board and Freshmen)
Good
We kidnapped the freshmen on a cold fall morning, and took them to a local park for breakfast and t-shirt making.
Corn Maize and Havdallah
10 Members
Average
We went to a local corn maize, after doing havadallah at a nearby house. Driving at night became an issue, and the corn maize was kind of pointless, but it was a good night.
Challah Back for Israel (w/AIUSY)
20 Members (Same Night as High School Football Playoffs)
Fairly Good
We had a fun night of Israel activities at Northern Hills. We played Israel trivia after having ice breakers with loads of Israeli food and music.
Hanukkah Lounge Night (w/AIUSY and COSY)
41 Members
Awesome
This city-wide lounge night included a Hanukkah bake-off, DDR, latkahs, dredle, and other really fun Hanukkah activities.
Noodle Night and Talent Show
13 Members (71 People from the Synagogue)
Awesome
For our large SA/TO event, we made a dinner centered around 3 very different types of Noodle dishes prepared by our USYers and parents. Then, after a delicious meal and awesome deserts, we had an hour and a half talent show featuring people from all different parts of the synagogue from 5 years old to 75. We raised over $1000 for SA/TO with only $18 for dinner and the show.
